The Haunted House

It was Halloween night. Kids were excited to get in their costumes and get as much candy as they could. They went to different houses. Three kids were going to far places. One was named Michael, one was David and another one Andrew. They all got a lot of candy when suddenly they saw this spooky house. They knocked on the door but nobody came. So they went inside without any permission. The door shut by itself. The kids were scared. Then the lightning struck. They were terrified. Five zombies came moaning. “UUHH!!” On the walls there was a sign that said the zombie’s weakness was chocolates. The three kids had plenty of chocolates, so they threw chocolates at them. All of the zombies died. Next ten ghosts came. Their weakness was gumdrops. All the kids had gumdrops. But if they threw it at them it would just go through them. So they had to put it in their mouths! The kids were disgusted but they did it. Next came a gigantic spider. Its weakness was twenty marshmallows. Nobody had a bag of marshmallows. But suddenly somebody who was in the house had two bags of marshmallows. They had just enough. They threw it at the spider and the spider POPPED!!!! Out came 350 candy bags!! They were very happy once they got them. They ate a whole bag and it tasted delicious. Their Halloween was the best ever!

The Best Summer Ever

My Summer started on June 15,2012. I got to do whatever I wanted to do.I could play on my PS3 and on the computer, and watched TV. One day I got the best birthday present EVER!!!! It was a PSP!! It came with a game called FIFA 11. My dad and I went to Gamestop and we bought a new game called Need for Speed. I kept playing that game. On July 18, 2012 we went to the Philadelphia International Airport. We were going to Romania. The bad news was that I lost the game FIFA 11 on the airport and that my mom wasn't coming with my dad and I. We left at 6:00. It was very cool in the plane because we were up in the sky and I saw a car that was one millimeter long. We were going to London first and then to Romania. We bought some things at the airport: a bag of Oreos,  Fanta and then we left with another plane. Then we got to Romania. I was very excited. We stayed in Bucharest for 2 days. Next we took a train to Ivesti. I met my grandparents and my dog Rex. He's very cute. I got to play with my friends. We played hide and seek almost every night, soccer and table tennis. My dad took me to a Fair where  I bought a fake gun. One of my friends got a fake sniper gun. But my gun broke so we didn't play anymore. Then I went to Bucharest and stayed there 2 weeks. Then I went back to the U.S.A. That's how I spent my summer vacation.               

The Battle

Once upon a time there were three soldiers on a boat in the middle of Crystal Sea. They tried to find land and they did. They made a tent, a fire, and they killed animals for food and got water to drink from Silver Lake. The next day five soldiers came along. They didn't have to hunt for animals because the three soldiers already had enough food and water and they even made a castle just in case is was a stormy day. Then a wizard appeared. It was very unusual. The soldiers were saying, " I thought wizards weren't real. A couple more days later two soldiers appeared with a cannon. One month later there were goblins coming. The goblins were evil. The soldiers said, " no wonder there was a wizard and a cannon because they were prepared". But they had to hurry because the rule says that if evil villains pass this blue mark they would take over the land! The rules also say that if you kill one villain you would earn gold! If 20 villains pass that mark then they would kill you! They were surprised. So they fought one villain and got $132 they got enough money to buy a new castle but there was an Orc and a bandit there and they killed all of the villains and got $3,490. They had just enough money to buy a new boat and sail back home. The bad news was that they met a sea monster that ate the ship and everybody died. 

Soccer Players Are On Fire

For many months I was going on my PS3 and playing a soccer game that was called 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and I would always lose but I got better at it because I learned how to use the controller. One day my dad told me that semi-Pro is hard and that amateur level is easier. So I did that and I scored… 17 goals! Can you believe it? The score was 17-0. I was Spain, which is the best team in the world, and it was Spain versus San Marino. San Marino didn’t score any goals. On the Spain team there was maybe the greatest soccer player Fernando Torres! His partner, who scored a lot of goals, was David Villa. The day I scored 17-0 was the day Torres scored 13 goals and Villa scored 3 goals. And last but not least Xabi Alonso! He scored only one goal. That was all on my PS3.

The next day there was the real European soccer championship game on TV, Spain vs. Italy. This was very important and not on playstation. If Spain won they would get to hold the trophy and Italy would go home. Spain won! David Silva, Fernando Torres, Jordi Alba and Mata each scored a goal. They are awesome players. Each Spanish player received a gold medal, which is real gold and got to hold the big Trophy! Italy received silver medals.

My Life so far

On the most beautiful summer day, a baby was just born at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. It was a boy. On that day the baby’s parents named him Matthew Dan. He was very cute and loved trains.

Five years later he began his first day of school! He was excited. His teacher was Ms. Sweeny. He got to meet other kids. He learned new things each day. But suddenly in first grade he was smarter than everybody else. His mom taught him something new in math. It was multiplication! He also learned division in second grade because he went to third grade math. He also learned fractions, decimals, graphs and so much more. His teacher was Mrs. Haley. When he would come back home he would always have some free time. He always read a book. He only read chapter books about great adventures. Then at the end of the day he would go upstairs and play games with his father.

There’s something I forgot to mention. He also has a blog/website. He has great stories. When he is in third grade he wishes his teacher to be Mrs. Haley. When it is vacation time he will meet his grandparents and play with his dog Rex again. It will be a great time filled with games and friends.

This is my wonderful life so far. 

A Trip to Venezuela

On a beautiful, summer day a pirate named Captain Matt found a map of a place were his grandfather buried a big treasure many years ago. The place was near Caracas, in Venezuela, South America. To get there, he took a boat, a few sailors and sailed away. It took them about three weeks to get there. Finally, they arrived in Venezuela. It was hot and beautiful. The map led them to a cave. But soon they realized they have fallen into a trap. They knew that the map was a decoy when they met other pirates in the cave. They fought them. They promised that if the good pirates won they could find a way to the real place. If they lost then they would just go back home. The good pirates won! The bad pirates finally admitted that the treasure was near the mountain Pico Naiguatá. They climbed the mountain. It took them an hour to get up there, but they found the treasure! They found coins, diamonds, earrings and necklaces. Captain Matt took as much as he could and sailed all the way back to America to his home.  

The New Dinosaur's Friend

One hot sunny day, in the middle of Pangea, a stegosaurus was about to have a baby. When she had the baby the mother stegosaurus named him Stego. One day, mother stegosaurus went out to get food. Stego was all alone, but he found a little T-Rex named TR and they became friends. When mother stegosaurus heard, she said:” you can’t be friends with TR”. Stego was mad. He asked,” Why can’t I be friends with him?” “Because he is going to eat every baby dinosaur, including you,” said she. But he ignored her and walked away. One day TR snuck into his house and tried to eat him but the T-Rex mom saw him and he got in trouble. She told him: “You can’t eat your friends” so he got grounded for a week and he could not leave the house. A week later he could leave the house. TR went to Stego and said he was sorry he tried to eat him. They are best friends now.

The First Giraffe in Africa

Once upon a time at a farm there was a goat. He was telling his mom everyday that he wanted a long neck and brown spots so he could be different than the other goats. He also wanted to live in a hot place.

So he left the farm and went to Asia, past the Middle East, to Egypt and found the Sahara Desert. Everyday he kept saying, “I wish I had a long neck”. Each day, his neck grew longer, and longer until reached the sky then the space. He was getting closer, and closer to the sun until his ears started burning. That is when his ears got the funny shape. His body burned a little bit and that is how he got the brown spots. The goat said,” I wish I had a smaller neck that wouldn’t reach the sun”. He kept getting a smaller neck everyday until he reached the trees. He stopped there to eat leaves and he wished, his neck stopped growing.

He was finally happy because he was the first giraffe in Africa with brown spots and a long neck.  

My Trip to the Aquarium

On Monday Feb 20, 2012 I went to the aquarium where I saw a lot of sea creatures. First I went to see a hammerhead shark. I also saw a scuba diver. When the hammerhead shark passed the scuba diver it didn’t eat him.  Maybe the shark was not hungry. Next I went to see the alligator. It was a very long one. Then I went to see the sea horses. There were a lot of tiny sea horses in there. Finally I went to see the lobsters. It looked like they were fighting but I am sure they were just playing. I had a wonderful time at the aquarium.

Trouble with Yu and Mi

On Sunday my family and I were watching a movie called Rush Hour 3. There was a funny scene between an American and two Chinese people whose names were Yu and Mi.

“May I help you?”

“I’ll be asking the questions. Who are you?”

“Yu”

“No, not me, you”

“Yes, I am Yu”

“Just ask the questions. Who are you?”

“I have told you”.

“Are you deaf?”

“No, Yu is blind”.

“Hey, I’m not blind, you’re blind”

“That is just what just said”

“You just said what?”

“I did not say “what” I said “Yu”.

“That’s what I am asking you”

“And Yu is answering”

“Be quiet!”

“Now you!”

“Yes”

“Not you, him”

“What’s your name?”

“Mi”

“Yes you”

“I am Mi”

“He is Mi and I am Yu”

Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter was the 39^th president of the United States. He was born on Oct 1, 1924 in Plains, Georgia. Jimmy was a friendly boy who grew up on a farm and helped his dad grow peanuts and crops. When he grew up he was a submariner in the Navy. He liked being in the Navy, but he quit the job because his father died and somebody had to take care of the farm.

On July 7, 1946 he married a woman named Rosalynn Smith Carter. They had 4 children, I think he had three boys and one girl. On Jan 7, 1974 Carter became Georgia’s 76^th governor and then served as president from 1977, to 1981. While he was president he was interested in human rights: he allowed many women, blacks and Hispanics to have governmental jobs. He liked world peace: he asked the countries of Egypt and Israel to come to America and agree to stop fighting against each other. He wanted to protect nature:  he passed a law, the Alaska National Interest Lands, which means he wanted to protect animals.

Jimmy Carter is still alive and still wants to protect the world and make it a better place.

 

Making Apple Pie

On Sunday my family and I made apple pie. First I washed the apples. Then I helped my dad sliced the apples with a mixer. When they were finished I helped my mom make the dough. We mixed flour, butter and water together but I rolled the dough. My mom put cinnamon and sugar on the apples. We put the dough in a baking tray, then apples and on top more dough. Finally we put it in the oven. The apple pie was delicious. I hope I make apple pie again.

Bowling Story

When I was 5 years old I began to play bowling. I didn’t know how to play at first. I only got 1 point each time. Before Christmas Saint Nicholas gave me a bowling set. It helped me to get better and better. I practiced every night with my dad. Then I went to a bowling alley and this time I got strikes and spares. I was getting better at bowling. When I was 6 years old I got three strikes in a row! It was amazing. Today I went bowling again and this time I got 7 strikes and 2 spares! I got 184 points in one game! Can you believe it? 184 points in one game! That is awesome! I hope I will get more strikes and spares next time I play.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve my mom and I made cookies for Santa Claus. We made gingerbread cookies and cookies in a shape of a Christmas tree. Then we put on the decorations around the house and on the Christmas tree. We were having a great time. When it was nighttime I had three important jobs to do. My dad helped me to put the star on top of the Christmas tree, get the reindeer food out in the front yard and put the cookies and a glass of milk out for Santa. On Christmas morning I went downstairs and looked at my presents. I loved the globe Santa gave me. I had a wonderful time.

About T-Rex

The first dinosaurs lived in the Triassic time. There was only one continent named Pangea. There was only one ocean named Panthalassa. Then in the Jurassic time the world began to split apart. In the Jurassic time there were 3 continents: North America, Europe + Asia and South America + Africa + Antarctica + Australia. In the Jurassic the most famous dinosaur was the T-Rex. The T-Rex was a meat eater. He was a predator who was hunting and a scavenger who eats dead animals. The T-Rex was found in the U.S.A, Hell Creek, Montana. One day there was an asteroid that hit the earth and all the dinosaurs died.
